Reviews and feedback
...your opinion matters...
Visitoz takes reviews and feedback about our programmes very seriously.

We receive feedback from all sources, and we give full consideration to all that we receive. We trust and require that they are made in a fair and reasonable spirit with improvement of our services in mind.

We welcome, and have systems in place for:
  1. participant reviews of our service
  2. employer reviews of our workers
  3. worker review of our employers

We assess our participants performance in the training week and can monitor their performance in the various jobs they take, as well as in the way they interact and communicate with us.

Most importantly, with the help of our overseas agents and promoters we go to great lengths to brief, prepare and set realistic expectations for our participants.

We trust that all these these things combine to create an environment where all concerned are encouraged to do their best for the others involved, and when this happens our programme works well.

'...not a cosy package tour...'
The Visitoz programme does not pretend to be a cosy package tour.

Visitoz is a potentially challenging demanding interactive adventure, career and personal development experience that will be different for each person. It can be a new, tough and alien environment. It is primarily dependent on the the relationship between employer and employee for which both are responsible. Employment relationships are two way streets.

It is also a real job for real pay where the main requirement is to complete a job for work for the employer. This is in a new working culture with conditions that may be significantly different to any previously experienced.

Taking part is likely to be a pathway to some amazing experiences but these have to be earned; there is plenty of hard work and a challenges along the way. First is to do a good job for the employer, and so earn their respect, trust and friendship. Then Australia will start to give back.

We know it can be challenging and there is a lot to learn, so we work hard to provide clear guidance; what it may feel like, what to expect, how to behave, what attributes are required to do well and about potential difficulties that may be experienced.

...to solve problems, communicate...
Of course there will be problems and challenges, but ordinarily these can be resolved by a fair minded attitude and good communication. We are here to help. It is part of our service. We expect participants to seek advice or assistance if they feel their objectives and expectations are not being met.
We also explain how to communicate with us in case assistance is required.

...we want reviews...
We encourage and respect the right of people to review us in public. We know it can help us create a really good service and strengthen our business, so we welcome feedback. But we expect it to be fair.

By offering the opportunity for participants to feedback in public we potentially expose ourselves to the whims and frustrations of our most unreasonable customers and their friends. Public reviews have the ability to be very one sided.

We are a small family company and we have built up our business with a lot of hard work over 25 years. In that time we have provided a positive experience for over 10,000 young people. Obviously we do not wish all that work and reputation to be undone by undeserved or unreasonable reviews made in the public domain.

...our reasonable request...engage, follow the process and be fair...
We therefore consider it reasonable to ask that
all our participants agree to follow the procedures and guidance we offer to the best of their ability, to agree to engage with us fully and communicate willingly about issues they face or experience so that together we can explain and resolve them, prior to publication of any negative reviews in the public domain.

Finally, we expect our participants to acknowledge that their actions (and reactions) to a new and challenging environment have the ability to significantly affect their working experience of Australia.
